Intro
Hey there, I’m Sophie.
Endurance athlete, mental performance coach, and founder of ROOTz.
After thirteen years working as an engineer, team leader and project manager notably at Strava, I chose to train in mental performance coaching and sophrology to dedicate myself to understanding how humans function under effort—how the mind, emotions, and body interact to support performance.
I created ROOTz with the goal of placing the human at the center of performance, giving critical importance to internal sensations and self-awareness.
The passion for endurance
I've been passionate about endurance and mountain sports for many years. I love long hours outside: trail running and long-distance cycling, ski touring, climbing, backpacking... Ultras have become my exploration ground.
These experiences teach me that sustainable performance doesn't come only from physical training: it requires kindness and regulation on a daily basis.
The race that fascinates me most to this day remains the TOR des Géants. A 350km race with 24,000m of elevation gain, circling the Aosta Valley in Italy.

My professional background and athletic experience guide every stage of ROOTz’s development.
The application I am building enables endurance athletes to:
track their mental and emotional loads
identify early signs of fatigue and overload
adjust their training based on their actual state
develop a deeper understanding of how they internally function
ROOTz is designed by and for endurance athletes.
Individual coaching
I also offer individual coaching in mental performance and sophrology through Longue Distance.
